Slip testing for entrances & lobbies

The entrance is where most water enters a building — and where a large share of slip claims begin.

Why it’s a high-risk area
On a wet day, rain is walked straight onto smooth, polished entrance tiles or stone. A surface that grips perfectly when dry can drop into the high-risk band the moment it’s wet — exactly when footfall is heaviest.
How we test it
We test the entrance and the first few metres inside, wet and dry, and give you a Pendulum Test Value for each against the recognised thresholds.
If it falls short
Often a longer matting run, a change to the cleaning regime, or an anti-slip treatment is enough. We advise independently and re-test to confirm.

Independent by design

We test floors; we don’t sell flooring, coatings or cleaning. Whatever we find in this area, there’s nothing we’re selling off the back of it — just the measured result and honest advice.
